Albuquerque Savors Arts, Culture and Cuisine


While New Mexico celebrates 100 years of statehood, the Savor Albuquerque festival from June 7 to 16 recognizes Albuquerque's arts, culture and cuisine. The 10-day festival, which culminates with the Centennial Summerfest, includes dance performances, food festivals, art exhibition and creative musicals and plays. 
Some of the event highlights include:

* The 25th Annual Flamenco Festival International de Albuquerque is a vibrant dance festival which will showcase over 20 workshops and seven dance performances by world renowned flamenco dancers.
* Savor Fine Food Festival is sure to cater to all foodies. Local Albuquerque restaurants will be showcasing their best culinary concoctions throughout the 10-day event.
* Route 66 Arts Crawl will have something for everyone to enjoy. Albuquerque galleries will participate in the Arts Crawl, allowing visitors to experience the creative works of local artists.
* Albuquerque Little Theater presents “Singin’ in the Rain” will provide visitors with a whimsical experience by enjoying the performances by some of Albuquerque’s best local talent.

To wrap up the Savor Albuquerque festivities, the Centennial Summerfest on June 16 will feature different performances, pavilions, food vendors and art exhibitions that display the strong history and culture that Albuquerque possesses. Stroll among the five pavilions along Downtown Albuquerque’s historic Route 66.
